Overnight Camp FAQs

No! Our overnight and day camps are open to all campers, and we encourage campers to bring a friend, Girl Scout or not! If your camper would like to become a registered Girl Scout before camp, simply register here! Non-members have a $25 fee added during the camp registration process.

Activities include swimming, boating, shooting sports, crafts, campfires, gaga ball, volleyball, games, hiking, and more! Some activities are age restricted, so check the camp brochure for more details.

Open Houses: Free
Overnight Camps: $525 per camper per session
Day Camps and Mini Sessions: $300 per camper per session
Busing: $50 per camper per week
Troop Core Camp: $85 per Girl Scout, $65 per adult, adults within ratio required
Mom and Me: $65 per person 1 night, $85 per person at Amahami (2 nights)
Family Camp: $45 per person
CIT I and CIT II are free.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration.

No, camp registration is based on the grade that your camper is entering for the 2024-25 school year. Girl Scout levels are as follows:
Daisy: Grades K-1
Brownie: Grades 2-3
Junior: Grades 4-5
Cadette: Grades 6-8
Senior: Grades 9-10
Ambassador: Grades 11-12

Campers will stay in a cabin, platform tent, or lodge with other campers their age and gender.

Each week we will have a maximum of approximately 90 campers.

Overnight camp is just for kids! Staying away from home is a great opportunity for your camper to build confidence and independence. If you would like to attend camp with your child, please see our Mom and Me and Me and My Pal offerings.

After registering for camp you will receive an email inviting you to complete your health forms through CampDoc. You will submit all health paperwork and complete all camper forms in your CampDoc account.

Yes, we honor 1 buddy request per camper. In your CampDoc account there will be a place to request a buddy. Please ensure both campers request each other. Buddies must be registered for the same program and be in the same age group. Not coming to camp with a buddy? No worries! Camp is a place to make new friends.

Absolutely! Overnight camp is only for girls (no adults), but troop members can choose to attend the same week. Interested in a troop camping experience for the whole troop including leaders? Check out Troop Core!

Yes, financial assistance is available for registered Girl Scouts. We want every Girl Scout to be able to experience camp regardless of their financial situation. Please register for camp first to hold your spot, and then submit this aid request form online.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellation notifications will only be accepted in writing to info@gsnypenn.org. Refunds for cancellations (less the deposit) are made only if the notification is received by prior the registration deadline, which is June 21, 2024. After the registration deadline has passed, refunds (less the deposit) may only be given if someone on the waitlist can fill the spot. If there is no waitlist, no refund will be issued. A cancellation may qualify for a refund (less the deposit) if the cancellation is due to a qualified medical reason. A written refund request along with a doctor’s excuse must be received within two weeks of the cancellation or program date. Deposits for camps are non-refundable.
