At Comstock, campers enjoy the unique natural surroundings on the shores of beautiful Cayuga Lake. Day campers explore nature, challenge themselves with activities such as archery and fishing, try new things and make new friends.

Join us for an enchanted forest adventure! Spend a week among the fairy folk, build fairy towns, battle trolls, try to outsmart goblins and more!

Look out on the horizon—the Comstock pirates are coming to commandeer camp! Enlist today to begin your pirate voyage. Will you walk the plank and swim with the merfolk? Come search for sea glass and other pirate booty hidden around camp.
To the Stage!

Lights up on Camp Comstock! We’re putting on a show! In this two-week session dedicated to our theatrical production, campers will learn about the stage, costumes and props while they memorize lines and how to put on a show. Each camper will perform and play a character in the final production at the end of the second week. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
*There will be no camp on the weekends.
Prehistoric Party

Tyrannosaurus, triceratops and stegosaurus—oh my! Travel back in time and help us search for dinosaurs! Come dig for fossils, create a volcano and discover this extinct world with your new paleontologist friends. Don’t miss out on this awesome week of camp!

Counselor-in-Training I

Entering Grades 10-12
In this two-week first level of CIT training, Girl Scouts entering grades 10-12 establish the leadership and outdoor skills needed to be a camp counselor. CITs will work with others to analyze what makes a good leader and participate in fun and challenging group games. They will also learn about different leadership styles and then identify which traits can help them develop into a great leader. Participants will have opportunities to practice leading activities with younger campers and shadowing staff members while participating in classic camp programming.

Entering Grades 11-12, who have completed CIT I
CIT II is the second level of CIT training for Girl Scouts in grades 11-12 or their freshman year of college who have completed CIT I. CIT II focuses on further honing the skills needed to work with youth at camp. CIT IIs will learn behaviors to expect from campers, how to manage them and how to work as a team with all staff. In addition to building their skills working with campers, they will learn more about the general operations of camp—from creating programming to managing food services. This program is an excellent opportunity to deepen leadership skills while having fun at camp!

Magic and Mischief

Add-on: overnight experience for $50 per camper
Everyone’s favorite theme is back at Comstock for one week only! Immerse yourself in a world of magic. A week where witches and wizards must join together to hone their wild magical abilities. Campers have the option to stay overnight on Thursday; boys and girls will have separate sleeping quarters. Dinner on Thursday and breakfast/lunch on Friday are provided.

Camp Comstock is in the Finger Lakes Region in Ithaca, NY on Cayuga Lake. Most of our campers are from New York and Pennsylvania, but we have had campers come from all over the US!

Camp Comstock is only offering day camp programs for the 2025 summer. Other day camps include Camp Hoover.
Overnight summer camp is available at Camp Amahami and Camp Trefoil.

Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways is always looking at improving our programs for our camp participants. One of the ways we try to ensure success is by looking at the previous summers registration to help guide us forward. Unfortunately, camp registration was very low last summer, which has caused us to make some changes for this year. We want to maintain a high-quality program for our campers, and we have to ensure we are able to get the proper camp staff to do so.

No! Our day camps are open to all genders, and we encourage campers to bring a friend!

Activities at Comstock include swimming, boating, archery, gaga ball, crafts, games, and more! Some activities are age-restricted.

Realizing families have different abilities to pay, we have a voluntary fee structure based on a 3-tier pricing system. The tier you select will have no impact on the camp experience your camper receives. Choose the tier that is right for you!
Camp is $300 per camper per week.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration.

No, camp registration is based on the grade that your camper is entering for the next school year.

Comstock has amazing views of Cayuga Lake! The lake is busy with other boaters, but we have a sectioned-off swimming area for our campers. The swimming area is divided into multiple sections. Campers will undergo a swimming assessment to determine their swimming ability, which will determine which sections they can go in. Water shoes are required to be worn by all swimmers. We have canoes, rowboats, funyaks, and sailboats.

Each week we will have a maximum of approximately 100 campers between day and overnight programs.

After registering for camp you will receive an email inviting you to create an account with CampDoc. You will submit all health paperwork and complete all camper forms in your CampDoc account.

Yes, we honor 1 buddy request per camper. In your CampDoc account there will be a place to request a buddy. Please ensure both campers request each other. Buddies must be registered for the same program and be in the same age group. Not coming to camp with a buddy? No worries! Camp is a place to make new friends.

Absolutely! Camp is only for everyone (no adults), but troop members can choose to attend the same week. Interested in a troop camping experience for the whole troop including leaders? Check out all of our Troop Camps.

Yes, financial assistance is available for registered Girl Scouts. We want every Girl Scout to be able to experience camp regardless of their financial situation. Please register for camp first to hold your spot, and then submit this aid request form online.
